one guy's opinion on his favorite kitchen things

With as much time as I'm spending at home and in the kitchen these days, these exceedingly well-designed and often used kitchen tools are really coming into their own.

John Boos Chopping Block ($450) is still probably overkill, but damn, it's sexy

Shun Classic Chef's Knife & Paring Knife ($288) are literally the only knives you need

Le Creuset Baking Dish ($70) for regular veggie roasting and the occasional casserole

All-Clad 1.5qt Saucepan ($130) for prepping most 1-2 person meals

Port Living Concrete Salt Cellar ($29) for refined and minimalist countertop use

Lodge 10" Classic Cast Iron Skillet ($21) as the inexpensive classic kitchen workhorse

Williams Knife Co. Edisto Oyster Knife ($425) for the best piece of functional art anywhere

Microplane Rasp Grater ($15) because lemon zest and fresh grated parmesan make everything better

Aarke Carbonator ($199) because sparkling water on demand is pure joy
